A library of 645 models, sorted by what you print
23 August 2026
Until this week the model library was a flat list of 70 pages. It now holds 645 models in nine categories: storage, electronics enclosures, wall and workshop mounting, kitchen, home and garden, desk and gadgets, tabletop, hardware and signs and personalization. Each category splits into types, each type lists its models, and every category has at least fifty of them.
What a library entry actually is
Every entry started as a set of dimensions I picked and fed into one of the 34 generators: a Raspberry Pi 5 case is the enclosure generator with the Pi 5 board selected, a 32 mm to 57 mm hose adapter is the hose generator with those two numbers typed in. The page shows a render, a 2D preview, a spec table and the printing notes, and the STL behind it is exactly what you would get by typing the same values yourself.
That has two consequences I like.
First, nothing is stored. When you press "Download STL + 3MF", the page asks the live generator for the files and hands them to you a few seconds later. There is no folder of stale STLs that drift away from the generators as they get fixed. When a generator improves, every library model improves with it, including the ones that were downloaded a thousand times already.
Second, every model is a starting point. The "Customize" button opens the generator with the same values filled in. If the drawer organizer is 20 mm too wide for your drawer, you type the right width and print again.
How the sizes were chosen
I chose the sizes from what people ask for and what I print myself. Enclosures cover the boards the generator knows: Pi 5, 4, 3, Zero, Pico, Arduino Uno and Mega, ESP32 DevKitC, D1 mini, each with a snap lid, a vented lid and a screw lid. Hose adapters cover the diameters that show up in every workshop: 32, 35, 40, 50, 57, 63 and 100 mm, plus 45 and 90 degree elbows. Deck boxes are sized from sleeve type and card count, so a 100-card double-sleeved Commander deck and a 40-card Yu-Gi-Oh deck in Japanese sleeves each get their own box. Miniature bases come in the rulebook sizes, keycaps in the standard units and profiles, Gridfinity bins in the grid.
For the text generators (stencils, stamps, signs, keychains, cookie cutters) the library holds the words people print most: GARAGE, FRAGILE, PAID, house numbers, a handful of names. They are there as examples; the point is that any word works.
Every one of them prints
The same rules apply to the library as to the generators: watertight parts, walls of 1.6 mm or more, supports avoided by design. I ran every entry through its generator and checked it before the page went up, and the render you see comes from the same geometry you download. If one of them still comes out wrong on your printer, the "Report an issue" button on the generator sends me the exact settings, and once I fix the generator the library model is fixed with it.
What is next
I will add sizes where the requests are. If a type is missing a size you keep rebuilding by hand, tell me which one and which dimensions matter. The generator can make it in a second; I just need to know which one to add.
