Position: u runs along the wall from its center (+ right, seen from outside); z is height above the inside floor. Openings come with clearance baked in; library sizes are nominal: measure anything that must line up with a real board.

The snap lid pops on and off with a fingernail and needs nothing else. The screw lid takes M3 self-tapping screws and is the better choice for a case that gets opened often or carried around.
