About the Knob Generator

Star, wing and knurled knobs over real M3–M10 hex hardware: the pocket swallows a store-bought bolt or nut and any screw becomes tool-free.

Free and without an account: type the numbers, watch the live preview, download STL and 3MF files that Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer and PrusaSlicer open directly. Looking for a ready-made size? The model library has 651 of them, each with its dimensions already filled in.

Questions

Which bolts fit?

M3 to M10 hex bolts and nuts. The hex pocket is sized for the ISO head and prints facing up, no supports or bridges.

How do I fit the hardware?

Push the hex in cold; a drop of CA glue holds it better than reaming the pocket loose. Thread the bolt through before seating the head.

Star, wing or knurled?

Star knobs give the most grip for clamping, wing knobs are quickest by hand, knurled knobs suit fine adjustments.

Can I replace a stove or amplifier knob?

Yes. Choose a D-shaft (6 mm with a 4.5 or 4.6 flat, or 1/4 in), a round shaft with an M3 set screw, or a knurled 18 or 24 tooth shaft, then add a pointer line.
