A drain hair catcher is a basket or a cover with openings narrow enough to stop hair and wide enough for water. Measure the drain hole or the grate, pick an insert or a cover, and download STL and 3MF files that Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer and PrusaSlicer open directly. It is free and needs no account.
The insert drops into sink and bathtub drains. A 45° seat under its flange rests on the edge of the hole, so the basket centres itself and prints without supports. Covers lie on shower drains and grates, round or square, flat or with a low dome, and an optional TPU foot ring keeps them from sliding. A centre hole lets the stem of a pop-up stopper through.
1.5 mm stops hair and does not clog with soap scum. 1.2 mm holds back fine hair too, but you will rinse it more often. At 2–3 mm water drains faster and the catcher still stops larger bits.
Use an insert when the drain has an open hole, as most sinks and bathtubs do. Use a cover when the drain has a fixed grate, or when you would rather not reach into the drain to empty it.
Set the stopper hole to the stem's diameter plus 1 mm and move the handle to the edge. Take the stopper out, drop the basket in, and put the stopper back through the middle.
